The low-inertia clutch/brake series is designed for heavy-duty applications requiring frequent clutching and braking. Featuring low moment of inertia of its rotating components, it significantly reduces acceleration/deceleration time and heat generation. It is especially suitable for cyclic operating conditions with high working frequencies. The standard design is shaft-end mounting, while custom shaft-to-shaft mounting configurations are also available.

For the LIC type, the low-inertia clutch body is mounted on a flywheel or bearing flange with a rotating air inlet connector. All rotating parts adopt lightweight design and are balanced in accordance with technical requirements to ensure fast engagement/disengagement and smooth operation with low heat generation. The high-performance friction discs deliver sufficient friction torque while offering long service life and high thermal stability. The lightweight, tough glass fiber composite pressure plate moves rapidly and provides effective heat insulation. The premium multi-layer raw rubber airbag remains intact after 6 million inflation-deflation cycles. The springless quick exhaust valve responds rapidly to slight air pressure changes to achieve quick disengagement of friction plates. These designs and materials address high heat, vibration and other challenges arising from frequent clutching and braking under heavy-duty service conditions.
